A little over a year ago I was commissioned to photograph clothing line for Ascension Snowboards. Since it was a snowboard company we decided on Lookout ski area for the shoot location. Andria from Kansas City, KS was the model hired for the shoot and she was a blast to shoot with. Utilizing a real model for catalog shoots make my life a whole lot easier!
Anyways, Andria emailed me while I was in Hawaii to let me know that one of the photographs was published in the September/October issue of Supermodels Unlimited magazine. How exciting is this?
Keep checking back on the blog for a announcement in the near future. I will be starting some new endeavors next year and one of them is modeling portfolios and high school seniors. It’s time to take this line of work to a new level!
My image is the one on the right.

Here are a couple more from the shoot.

Hey everyone,
Still pounding away at SWP trying to get things done. I also finished my new ad this year for the magazines. Let me know what you think of it. The main image is from my California wedding a couple of weeks ago. I just love the shot so I had to use it.

I also updated my opening slide show to my website. I added 10 or so new images from the workshop that David Beckstead and I facilitaded last month. There is some cool stuff so check it out!

Wow, 6000+ miles later I’m home! I photographed two great weddings, had some time to relax and ponder about what I’m going to be doing for next year. Now its time to meet with all of my great clients from this past year to finish things up. If you have called or emailed me while I was gone, I will be getting back with you over the next couple of days. Here is my last image that I took in Hawaii. I’m gonna have to make a print of this for my own wall!

While I was in Newport Beach I decided to finally buy my dream car. Can anyone guess what kind of Lamborghini this is?

I’m in Hawaii now and the accomodations are amazing. Looking forward to some beach time and Corona’s. If I find the time to post images from yesterdays wedding I will. Mike and Alicia really threw a great wedding, I’m glad I have two new friends in the OC!

Last year I donated a family lifestyle session to a local charity for an auction. The Bennets were the highest bidders so we scheduled the session and away we went. I remember coming home from that first shoot with them wondering if I shot anything good. I was blown away at the imagery I captured and so were the Bennet’s. They were so impressed they purchased my multi-year family lifestyle package. This is an awesome package for all you families out there. I come once a year and spend 2-3 hours with your family. We set up fun locations and activities and I document the day. After each session you receive a hand made Italian album with your family’s images from the day! What an awesome way to show your family growing together!
For this session we started out at their home in Coeur d Alene, then went to the ultra exclusive Gozzer Ranch. These kids are a blast to photograph. This year the kids seemed really comfortable in front of the camera. Which left the rest up to me!

If you didn’t get a chance to attend the workshop you really missed out. The gorgeous brides and and crazy locations made for some amazing images. I will be giving a full recap later but for now here are some shots from the week. If you called or emailed in the last 5 days you now know why I have not gotten back to you sooner. I will be returning all calls and emails this week.

Sarah and Terry’s wedding was like non other! Why would it be when your groom is a famous guitarist (Powerman 5000 & Alien Ant Farm) and the bride is a gorgeous tattooed rock star of her own. This couple let me shoot my style and had a blast doing it. To Sarah & Terry, next time your in town let’s get together for a little jameson!

Check out these flowers!

Terry would tell me stories about how they (his bands) would always mess with the photographer during photo shoots. So I was expecting a lot of mayhem but nothing to big to report about. Although this was the usual response when I asked them to do something they didn’t want to do.

Time for the ladies….

I lOVE this shot of Sarah!

Last but not least….

Today I’ve been contacting most of my remaining Brides (except the ones that have hired Jaime Johnson because she takes care of all that for me! She is awesome!) and thats 5 to be exact! These last 5 weddings are going to be amazing and I love that I’m finishing up my wedding season in Hawaii!
I then decided to see what I had booked for Oct. and Nov. and its looking really slow! I don’t like to be sitting on my butt for long periods of time without using my camera. So I figured the best way to get the word out would be to post something on my blog. So here is what I want to offer………
All you new couples out there that just became engaged and want an SWP lifestyle session here is your chance for a deal. The session will stay $300 for 1.5 hrs of shooting. But I will give you a free SWP art image from the session! The print does have to be an 8X10 or smaller.
I’m also going to be getting into the modeling photography/business. If you know anyone who needs to update their modeling portfolio, or someone who wants to get into modeling please send them my way. The sessions last 3 hours and includes unlimited clothing changes and locations with 5 retouched images for $350.00.
Please pass on this info to friends and family. My business is mainly successful because of “word of mouth” marketing from great people like you. Without my past clients recommendations I would not be where I’m at today.
I hope everyone has a great long weekend and thank you in advance for passing my info to everyone.
