The Johnson’s

Last Friday I photographed the wonderful Johnson family. I meet them through Jaime Johnson back when she used to work at the Davenport. I’ve known them for…..gosh 5 years or so? Anyway’s their daughter Jayda is a beautiful girl with tons of personality! Since it has been a couple years since I last photographed them we decided to head out to the golf course for a little photo action. This is session one of two so stay tuned for the next round of images later this week.

I’m addicted

To fly fishing that is! This year I have decided that if I’m going to drink beer I might as well be doing something outdoors. I’ve always wanted to fly fish and I have had numerous oppertunities to start. Except during those past years in my life the last thing I needed to do was start another expensive hobby.  So I decided that this year I’m gonna drop on of my old hobbies and start a new one and fly fishing it is! I really love being out in the mountains, standing in a river and all you have is a imitation fly (that you hope the fish will want) and a rod and reel. It’s you against the fish and you would be amazed at how fast 5 hours goes by. Even if your not catching fish your still having a blast.

This past weekend my girlfriend and I headed down to the St. Joe river to fish and camp. Sydney caught 3 fish and I caught none! So the next morning we packed up and headed to the north fork of the Coeur d’ Alene river. Within 3 hours I landed 5 fish and Sydney caught 2 more. We were now tied and neither one of us caught anything the rest of the day. I think it was because we both lost our hopper fly’s (which the fish were loving) and the fish didn’t like the others we had. But the lack of catching fish is ok when your spending quality time in the mountains and rivers. So if anyone wants to join us were always looking for people to go fish with. Except don’t expect us to show you our secret spots :) .

Here are a couple photos from the weekend.
